Why modern-day feminism is threatening masculinity

One of the strongest beliefs of the Democratic Party, or at least in my opinion, is the ideal of equality on all front. Simply put, Democrats believe in equal opportunity regardless of race, religion, gender or sexual orientation. However, in relatively recent news, Democrats seem to act in contradiction to their supposed "beliefs," especially with the #MeToo movement. Rather than promoting "equality for all," modern-day feminism seems more like a threat to masculinity (especially if you're a white male).

Democrats treated unsubstantiated allegations about Judge Brett Kavanaugh (now an Associate Justice for the Supreme Court) as the "ultimate" truth, which was in my opinion, was the Democrats tactic to prevent Kavanaugh from serving on the Supreme Court.

Kavanaugh angrily denied (as he should) all allegations of sexual misconduct that Christine Blasey Ford made towards the Supreme Court nominee. First of all, it seems rather convenient that Ford chose to speak up about the alleged attack from 36 years ago.

For nearly two months, Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., withheld a July-dated letter from Ford about the alleged attack, and instead decided to issue the statement days before the confirmation vote (a little too suspicious in my opinion). Feinstein later claimed that the delay in sharing the information was from Ford's supposed confidentiality request. The fact of the matter is: the Democrats will continuously pursue to damage individuals that have differing political ideologies, especially at the expense of his or her reputation.

In my opinion, Kavanaugh proclaimed his innocence in a very extensive and publicized testimony. Side note: I sometimes re-watch Sen. Lindsey Graham's counterpart, to which he states: "What you want to do is destroy this guy's life, hold this seat open and hope you win in 2020."

And if you have yet to see it, you can watch the video below.

I mean, Graham isn't wrong. The Democrats won't stop at any cost, just to support these unsubstantiated claims to further their political agenda. Kavanaugh is completely qualified, and now as a current Associate Justice for the Supreme Court, I have no doubt that Kavanaugh will be an amazing leader for our nation.

Democrats should learn from such a distinguished figure like Kavanaugh. A man with such evident show of character, compassion and of course, his support for enforcing one's Constitutional rights and liberties, deserves to serve on the SCOTUS.

Kavanaugh is innocent. End of story.

Sexual misconduct has nothing to do with either political ideologybut as said before, Democrats seem to use the #MeToo movement as an effective strategy to further their political agenda. There have been numerous people (of both genders) in politics, or even celebrities and other prevalent individuals, that identify with the Democratic Party, and have accused of sexual misconduct

Allow me to name some of the most infamous cases: Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Anthony Weiner, Bill Clinton... the list goes on. You get the point.

Committing such a crime is wrong and unjust, and those should be properly persecuted if one does commit such a thing. But, wrongly accusing another individual by using unsubstantiated claims is egregiously damaging to one's reputation.

As a female, I find it horrible to think that other females will destroy another male's life for some sort of gain. What for? Is it for attention? Money? Advancement in the workforce? I fear for my brother as he soon enters college, and hope he never faces an issue like such.

If a major value of the Democratic Party is to promote so-called "equality for all," perhaps weaponizing the #MeToo movement as a political scheme isn't the way to go.
