Free speech turns deadly: Conservative activist attacked at University of California at Berkley

Can free speech turn violent? Apparently so.

Hayden Williams, a conservative activist, was assaulted by an unidentified suspect on the campus of the University of California at Berkley. Williams claims that the individual accused him of promoting "aggression" and "violence" because of his political beliefs.

Perhaps it's just me, but I find that many liberals (not all) commonly correlate being conservative to violence and aggression. If anything, the confrontation between Williams and the assailant contradicts the liberals' supposed beliefs.

As an outspoken conservative, I would never phantom thinking about hurting someone, especially physically, because his or her political ideologies didn't match mine. Personally, I have many friends who are liberal, but neither of us allows it to affect our friendship (as it should always be). If liberals promote this idea of "equality for all," wouldn't it be contradictory of them to harm another person because of their different beliefs?

But no, liberals seem to believe that the "MAGA hat" promotes white supremacy and violence, which to me is puzzling because "MAGA" represents bettering the nation and the welfare of the people. Of course, it means a plethora of other ideals, but you get the point. The liberals' beliefs are surely skewed.

Above shows Hayden Williams assaulted for promoting conservative views at University of California at Berkley. Video retrieved from KPIX CBS SF Bay Area on YouTube.

Williams appeared on Sean Hannity for Fox News, expressing his take on the recent controversy. "This person claimed we were promoting violence on campus and proceeded to take his aggression on us," said Williams.

Clearly, the unidentified suspect hasn't heard of free speech or expression. Williams is entitled to his own beliefs, just as much as the unidentified suspect is. However, this doesn't mean violence should breakout.

When appearing Hannity's show, Williams appeared to show a black eye in result of the confrontation on the Cal-Berkley campus.

Williams was reported to be helping the conservative group Turning Point USA recruit members.

Williams appeared on Sean Hannity's show speaking of the incident at University of California at Berkley campus.

Some students took offense to the sign that the organization displayed at the recruitment table. The sign read, "Hate Crime Hoaxes Hurt Real Victims." The sign was a direct reference to the recent case of "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett, who was accused of staging an attack against himself.

Why do liberals use falsified stories to further his or her own political agenda at the expense of conservatives? What does that say about liberals? All I'm saying is that I have yet to see a conservative stage a fake hate crime.

Reports additionally mentioned that the Turning Point USA organization had a sign at the Cal-Berkley campus that read "This is MAGA Country."

However, unlike the Empire actor controversy, Williams has evidence and eyewitnesses to prove that he did not provoke the alleged attacker. The man in the video can EVEN be heard shouting profanities at Williams while threatening to possibly shoot him.

Of course, the unidentified suspect had to top it off by knocking the phone out of Williams' hand. Kudos to you, that was VERY mature.

A Fox News contributor and Campus Reform editor-in-chief Lawerence Jones told Hannity, "This is not new for UC-Berkley. This is a school that has been burnt down almost, because they don't like the conservative point of view on the college campus."

Simply put, we are ALL entitled to our OWN opinion. Just because my political ideology doesn't side with yours doesn't mean you're entitled to act out violently. As cliché as it may or may not sound, have intellectual debates instead of lashing out.

And before I forget: Make America Great Again. Xoxo.
